Chris Petrikin, executive vice president of Global Communications and Corporate Branding, is to be departing Paramount Pictures. The announcement follows Jim Gianopulos’ anticipated resignation as Chairman and CEO of the Melrose Lot. And Brian Robbins’ addition of the cinematic studios to his increasing collection. Petrikin has been in the position for more than 4 years, having accompanied Gianopulos to Paramount from 20th Century Fox. Wherein he held positions as Chief Communications Director for eleven years. Petrikin is recognized for his strong and broad contacts with reporters. As well as his astute industry advice and general effectiveness as a studio spokesperson. From the standpoint of the media, he will be miss dearly. He has given adept counsel on the theatres. And many company matters during his tenure at 20th Century Fox and Paramount.

Petrikin left the William Morris Company in 2007. Scream, Jackass Forever, Lost City of D, Top Gun: Maverick, Transformers Rise of the Beasts, Mission: Impossible 7, untitled Paramount release, are among the 13 films scheduled for official launch in 2022. Assuming ViacomCBS will not really change their opinions about the films’ allocation strategies.
