Chase Stokes took to social media to mourn the sudden death of his stand-in on the Netflix series Outer Banks.

Chase Stokes pay tribute to Outer Banks body double actor
Chase Stokes shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram Stories to memorialize the passing away of his stand-in Alexander Jennings.
The star wrote on Wednesday, ‘Still trying to process why certain things happen, and why the world works in the ways that it does.’
He continued, ‘My heart is shattered. Your life was just starting. We JUST talked about how pumped you were about your tunes, how far you’d come with that ole 6-string, and your want to keep creating art. Always making others’ hearts warm and being so damn selfless.’
The Outer Banks actor ended with, ‘I wish I had more words to say right now, but the past day has been a struggle, to say the least. We all loved you, you touched all of our lives and made us all better people, and for that Thank You AJ. Fly high angel.’
It appears that Stokes was a fan of Jennings’ work and was looking forward to the young actor’s career in the future. The actors may have resembled each other but they also seemed to share a close bond.
Kimmie Stewart Casting also mourned the loss of the up-and-coming actor.
The agency said in a Facebook message, ‘AJ was a beautiful, kind soul and a bright light every day on set.’
They added, ‘We will miss this amazing human & his infectious smile dearly.’
Alexander Jennings died in a car accident
Alexander Jennings aka AJ passed away on Tuesday morning in Charleston following a hit-and-run involving two cars. He was 22 years old.
According to a report by TMZ, AJ was strolling across Sol Legare Road on James Island when a vehicle ran over him around 2:30 am. Shortly after another car also struck him nearly at 3 am.
Both the cars ‘fled from the scene’. However, it was reported that the driver of the second car was tracked to a traffic stop in downtown Charleston.
The actor was immediately rushed to The Medical University of South Carolina, where he died as a result of his injuries. The coroner’s office listed his time of death as 3:13 am.
The case is an ongoing investigation with the first driver still at large. No charges have been filed as of yet.
