Candice Susan Swanepoel was born on 20th October 1988, in Mooi River, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
She was born to a South African mother, Eileen Swanepoel (née Green), and a Zimbabwean father Willem Swanepoel. Hence, she was brought up in an Afrikaner family of Dutch origin.
Candice has an older brother named Stephen who took her to ballet dancing lessons. She completed her early schooling at a local Elementary School in Mooi River.
Furthermore, she then went on to attend St. Anne’s Diocesan College in the small town of Hilton in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands province. It was a girls boarding school.
Candice was spotted by a model scout in the Durban flea market when she was only 15 years old which eventually ended up changing her life.
