Here is everything you need to know.

Brad Pitt thinks he has prosopagnosia

Brad Pitt recently sat down with writer Ottessa Moshfegh for an interview with GQ magazine.

While talking with Moshfegh, the 58-year-old actor touched upon various topics about his life and career. He further admitted that he struggles to remember new faces and people.

The magazine’s August cover profile mentioned, ‘He’s never been officially diagnosed but thinks he may suffer from a specific condition: prosopagnosia.’

Moshfegh further wrote, ‘He fears it’s led to a certain impression of him: that he’s remote and aloof, inaccessible, self-absorbed. But the truth is, he wants to remember the people he meets and he’s ashamed that he can’t.’

It is noted that the Fight Club actor confirmed that he has never been diagnosed with prosopagnosia but believes he suffers from the rare condition.

Moreover, when the interviewer told Pitt that her husband thinks he is suffering from the same condition, the star responded with, ‘Nobody believes me! I wanna meet another.’

The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor has previously talked about his struggle during an interview with Esquire in 2013.

The Oscar winner said, ‘So many people hate me because they think I’m disrespecting them.’

He went on to add, ‘Every now and then, someone will give me context, and I’ll say, ‘Thank you for helping me.’ But I piss more people off.’

The A-lister further pointed out, ‘You get this thing, like, ‘You’re being egotistical. You’re being conceited.’ But it’s a mystery to me, man. I can’t grasp a face and yet I come from such a design/aesthetic point of view. I am going to get it tested.’

What is face blindness?

Face Blindness medically termed prosopagnosia is a rare brain disorder. It means that they often cannot recognize people’s facial identities.

The person who suffers from the disorder sometimes has trouble differentiating the faces of strangers. Few people even have a hard time recognizing the features of known faces.

According to a report by the National Library of Medicine, it is estimated that 2-2.5 percent of the world population is affected by prosopagnosia.

Furthermore, people who suffer from this rare condition frequently have difficulty forming personal relationships.

In the past, there have been a few cases where the person is unable to recognize their face as well.
