In an unexpected turn of events, Andrew Tate, the controversial influencer, has once again found himself at the centre of a heated dispute. This time, it all began with a photograph of him reading the Quran. However, the photo instantly sparked a torrent of criticism throughout the Islamic world, even ruffling the feathers of some of his most fervent supporters. Tate, also known as ‘Top G,’ has created a reputation for his controversial social media presence, frequently pushing limits and generating debate. He engages with his audience on Twitter on a regular basis, giving snippets of his life, updating fans on his podcasts, and providing encouraging quotations.

The post was published on Twitter by the account @ReachMorpheuss with the description, Reading the Quran. The photograph itself depicted a presumably comfortable Andrew, lying on a bed, engaged on what looked to be the Quran, Islam’s holiest scripture. The photograph quickly drew the attention of a large number of social media users. The Islamic community’s reaction was quick and ferocious. Many people were outraged and offended by what they saw as a “act of disrespect towards their faith.” The photograph triggered larger debates about cultural appropriation, religious sensitivity, and the accountability of prominent figures.

A Controversial Quran Photo Taken By Andrew Tate Has Sparked A Fierce Backlash From The Muslim Community: This Guy Is Mocking Islam

In the world of social media, Andrew Tate is no stranger to controversy as a former kickboxing champion turned social media celebrity. However, a recent Twitter tweet featuring him has sparked a major commotion, even by his norms. The tweet was issued by the Twitter account @ReachMorpheuss, which bills itself as a “messenger of Tate.” The video shows ‘Top G’ lying down on a bed and reading from what looks to be the Muslim holy book, the Quran. Tate reading the Quran should come as no surprise given that the influencer announced his conversion to Islam in late 2022. He has made several social media postings since then to indicate this. However, the photo in the tweet depicts ‘Top G’ reading the Quran while wearing only Muay Thai shorts. According to AboutIslam.net, this is potentially very inappropriate: When reading the Quran, it is not necessary to cover the awrah (private parts).

However, when listening to or reading the Quran, a Muslim should maintain his or her cleanliness and modesty. Several Twitter followers immediately noticed Andrew Tate’s non-modest fashion in the photograph. Andrew Tate publicly proclaimed his conversion to Islam in late 2022 and has made several social media allusions to the faith since. Last year, Top G asserted on a podcast that Islam was the “last true religion” remaining on the earth and that Christians who believe in good vs evil should convert to Islam. Tate’s most fascinating comment on Islam was that, in his opinion, people do not insult Muslims or their faith. This theory was revived in May when ‘Top G’ reacted to a tweet depicting Satanists destroying Bible copies. In answer, Tate merely quipped, “Try the Quran if you’re so brave.”
