50 Cent joins hands with Eminem to create the 8 Mile TV show

50 Cent recently shared that he is teaming up with Eminem to develop a television series. Moreover, it will be an adaptation of Eminem’s semi-autobiographical film titled 8 Mile.

50 Cent is gearing up to bring Eminem’s 2002 film to the small screen

50 Cent sat down for an interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood on their official channel on 6th January Friday.

Moreover, during the sit-down 50 Cent got candid about his latest moves in the film and television world. 

In addition, it included the possibility of Eminem’s 8 Mile television series.

He revealed, ‘I’m gonna bring [Eminem’s] 8 Mile to television.’

Subsequently, he confirmed that the Mockingbird rapper is also in the project. The two singers have already made a couple of decisions regarding the development of the television show.

He continued, ‘We’re in motion.’

Additionally, 50 Cent whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III mentioned, ‘It’s gonna be big. I’m working. I ain’t got no duds. I’m batting 100.’

Meanwhile, Big Boy asked 50 Cent who came up with the idea to create a television show based on 8 Mile.

He further questioned whether the Queens native had to put in efforts to persuade Eminem to join him.

However, 50 Cent replied with, ‘I think it should be for his legacy. It’s important to me that they understand it.’

He continued, ‘When [Steve] Stout would say ‘the tanning of America’ because America’s listening to Black music, right?’

In addition, he said, ‘And it’s really the culture losing its color for everybody to feel like they can enjoy it and appreciate it.’

The father of two added that t he project will seemingly deliver a ‘backstory’ to the original film. It will depict the early years of Eminem.

Moreover, he exclaimed about his desire for the series to share the story of Eminem with a new audience.

More about Eminem’s 8 Mile

Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, starred in his film debut called 8 Mile. It follows the story of his character named B-Rabbit’s ascension in the battle rap scene in Detroit.

Besides that, the movie’s soundtrack included a song titled, ‘Lose Yourself’ which led Eminem to bag his first Academy Award win for Best Original Song at the 2003 Oscars.

Meanwhile, the track has currently reached diamond status. Also, Eminem performed the anthem at the 2020 Academy Awards.
