Footage resurfaces of Drake onstage with a 17-year-old in 2010, prompting discussion; woman from the video speaks out, downplaying the incident.

A video from 2010 featuring Drake and a 17-year-old girl has recently resurfaced and is causing quite a stir on social media. The footage, reportedly from a concert in Denver, Colorado, shows the Canadian rapper inviting a young woman on stage, dancing with her, and seemingly kissing her neck.

In the video, Drake is seen reaching across the girl’s chest from behind before picking up the microphone and admitting that he is getting “carried away.” When he learns of her age, he exclaims, “I can’t go to jail yet, man!” He then proceeds to compliment her appearance and expresses his enjoyment of their interacti on.

The video has drawn comparisons to R&B singer R. Kelly, who is currently incarcerated on charges related to sexual abuse and child pornography. Wack 100, who shared the footage on his Instagram, pointed out that while Drake’s actions may not have violated Colorado state law, they could potentially be seen as lewd conduct under federal law.

The resurfacing of this video coincides with an ongoing feud between Drake and fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar. The two have been trading barbs in multiple diss tracks, with Kendrick even referring to Drake as a “certified paedophile” in his song “Not Like Us.”

However, the woman featured in the video, Tia Owens, has since spoken out about the incident. She took to Instagram to clarify that the interaction was part of Drake’s stage act and that she was chosen by his entourage, not Drake himself. “Nothing then and it’s nothing now,” she wrote. “This was purely for his stage act. I was 17 years old and I’m 31 now. It was nothing then and it’s nothing now.”

She further explained that the concert was one she attended with her father during high school and that it is common for performers to invite fans on stage. Despite the controversy surrounding the video, Owens maintains that the incident was “nothing then and it’s still nothing now.”

The video continues to circulate on social media, fueled in part by the ongoing rivalry between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. As the two rappers continue to release diss tracks, allegations and accusations are flying, adding fuel to the fire of this heated feud.

In conclusion, while the video has certainly raised eyebrows and sparked discussions about appropriate behavior, the woman at the center of it all insists that it was nothing more than a part of the show. As the debate continues, it serves as a reminder of the importance of consent and respect in all interactions.
