WeCrashed, a new Apple TV+ series, is based on true events and the narrative of the organisation WeWork. On March 18, 2022, WeCrashed will be available on Apple’s streaming service. The performance will debut at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival on March 12 and 13th, before being released on Netflix. The show delves deeper into the growth and fall of WeWork, which was once valued at $47 billion.
What Is The Storyline Based On? How Did Wework End Up?
Adam Neumann’s first commercial attempts were selling newborn knee pads and women’s foldable high heels. At a party he gave on the roof of his apartment tower, he met his future wife, yoga teacher Rebekah, who is Gwyneth Paltrow’s cousin. The self-described “serial entrepreneur” and his business partner Miguel McKelvey cofounded WeWork in 2010, a firm that leased empty office buildings and rented out desk space on a flexible basis to startups and freelancers.
The company grew quickly in the United States and Europe, and it was soon dubbed a “unicorn,” or highly sought-after investment prospect. Neumann’s attitude to business was unorthodox, to say the least. He gave away free beer to his WeWork clients from the start, and as the firm developed, the long-haired, dope-smoking CEO threw large company away days that resembled full-fledged music festivals. He also planned to spread his ‘We’ brand exponentially into sectors like goods, gyms, shared living spaces, and even schools, as a guru-like figure. WeWork, he believed, was more than a business; it was a way of life and a “movement.”

Adam Neumann, one of the co-founders of WeWork, is played by Jared Leto. Leto is most known for his roles in films like House of Gucci and Suicide Squad. Anne Hathaway portrays Rebekah Neumann. Hathaway is most recognised for her roles in The Princess Diaries and Les Misérables. Also her work with Christopher Nolan in The Dark Knight Rises and Interstellar. America Ferrara from Superstore, O. T. Fagbenle from The Handmaid’s Tale, Kyle Marvin from ER, and Anthony Edwards from ER will all be in session. Eisenberg (who has written for The US Office and Little America) and Crevello (who worked on Deadpool and X-Men: First Class) developed the series.
