Travis Scott’s First Festival Performance After Astroworld Tragedy Canceled

Travis Scott’s first scheduled festival appearance since the 2021 Astroworld tragedy, in which 10 people died, was canceled on Friday (July 1), Variety reports

“We’re sorry to announce that a combination of logistics, timing and production issues have forced us to cancel Day N Vegas for 2022,” an announcement posted on Instagram

Scott was slated to headline the final day of the three-day festival scheduled for Labor Day weekend, from Sept.

An official investigation concluded that 10 people at the Nov. 5 concert in Houston all died from compression asphyxia during a massive crowd surge, The Associated Press reported.

Concertgoers were packed tightly and unable to breathe or move their arms. Meanwhile, the rap superstar faces multiple lawsuits, including a wrongful death lawsuit.
