Taylor Swift's Rep Responds To Private Plane Usage Amid Backlash Over CO2 Emissions
Taylor Swift
is responding to claims that she is at the top of the list of celebrities contributing to the climate crisis with private flights.
The statement is coming just after a study that was released which found that the 32-year-old singer
Had over 170 flights attributed to her plane, and 8,293.54 metric tons in CO2 emissions.
According to a rep for
Taylor
, all of the emissions nor the flights should be attributed just to
Taylor
alone.
“Taylor’s jet is loaned out regularly to other individuals,” a spokesperson for her tells
Rolling Stone
.
“To attribute most or all of these trips to her is blatantly incorrect.”
The study also said that the use of
Taylor
‘s plane to take these flights is 1,184.8 times more than the average person’s total annual emissions.
