Showtime Cancels 'The First Lady' Series After Just One Season

The First Lady is over at Showtime.

What was meant to be an anthology series on the network has turned into just a limited series after Showtime announced that it would be ending with just one season.

The first, and now only, season of the series focused on three of the First Ladies in the White House.

“Showtime can confirm that the anthology series ‘The First Lady’ will not be moving forward with another season,” a Showtime spokesperson told media.

The cast included Eleanor Roosevelt (Gillian Anderson), Betty Ford (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Michelle Obama (Viola Davis).
