Colombian singer Shakira and former Spanish soccer player Gerard Pique signed an agreement before a court in Barcelona this Thursday

that will allow the artist to settle in Miami (USA) with his children Milan and Sasha.

The settlement comes after months of negotiations between their legal team following their split, which was announced this spring.

Shakira and Pique appeared in court separately today and were represented by their respective lawyers.

After the contract was signed, Gerard Pique's lawyer, Ramon Tamborero,

told the press that " they are both calmer, more relaxed" and have thought "of the good of their children."
