Rob Gronkowski Announces Retirement From The NFL.

Rob Gronkowski is retiring from the NFL for a second time.

The 33-year-old tight end shared the news via social media on June 21.

Gronk reflected on how it was his lifelong dream to play professional football for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

And, as Gronk pointed out, he did just that for the past two NFL seasons after coming out of retirement in April 2020 following a long career with the New England Patriots.

“I will now be going back into my retirement home, walking away from football again with my head held high knowing I gave it everything I had, good or bad, every time I stepped out on the field.”

Gronk’s longtime teammate Tom Brady, 44, reacted to the big news in a comment on the post. “Love you as a man, teammate and friend.
