NBA world reacts to surprising Kevin Durant report
The Brooklyn Nets as we know them appear to be on the verge of collapse, with star forward Kevin Durant requesting a trade from the franchise earlier this week.
This comes after months of no contact between Durant and the Nets front office, which should have been a sign of things to come in Brooklyn.
Brooklyn has said that they will honor his request and trade Durant. To this point, the Phoenix Suns and the Miami Heat are the teams that are reported to be on Durant’s ideal list of destinations.
However the Nets are likely looking for the best possible trade package in return, and that may come from a familiar destination for Durant.
NBA insider Marc Spears discussed the teams targeting Durant on ESPN Radio on Sunday and said that the Golden State Warriors may be interested in trading for Durant.
“The one team I’m telling you to keep an eye on is the Golden State Warriors,” said Spears. “Golden State could have the best package for both parties.
