Larry Fitzgerald is a sure-fire future Pro Football Hall of Famer.
There’s no doubt that many current Notre Dame players grew up watching and admiring him.
So it had to be a thrill for them when Fitzgerald came in and spoke to the team.
It’s a little surprising to see Fitzgerald speak to this group considering he has no prior connections to Notre Dame.
What’s more, the two games he played against the Irish for Pittsburgh as part of a home-and-home in 2002 and 2003 were very forgettable for him.
In a pair of Irish victories, he accumulated only 83 and 79 receiving yards respectively. While he did score the Panthers’ only two touchdowns in the latter contest, it was not enough.
