Lakers make surprising 2022 NBA Draft day trade

The Lakers did have a first-round pick initially

but it was given to the Pelicans in the Anthony Davis trade a few years back

It was reported recently that LA was keen on trading for a second-rounder

with discussions taking place with the Hawks and Pistons in the mid-40s.

Needless to say, they got an even higher pick with this trade.

The Lakers are in need of a 3&D type player and/or more depth in their frontcourt
