Adult Swim has ended its association with Justin Roiland following allegations of domestic abuse

American cable channel Adult Swim has severed its relationship with Justin Roiland, co-creator of the show Rick and Morty,

following his indictment on charges of domestic violence.

On January 24th, a statement was released by Marie Moore, the Senior Vice President of Communications for Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, and Boomerang, which stated:

"Adult Swim has ended its association with Justin Roiland.”

This announcement follows the recent revelation of alleged inappropriate conversations between Roiland and a minor that were shared on a now-private account on the internet.

Adult Swim is the channel responsible for the popular adult animated series Rick and Morty,

which was co-created by Justin Roiland who also served as executive producer, and provided the voices for the lead characters in the show.

As per ScreenGeek, screenshots were circulated on the internet following Justin Roiland's felony domestic violence charges in Orange County.

The leaked Direct Messages (DMs) were initially shared on January 15th and the account later made it private.

However, another Twitter account under the handle @MartyAmericaUSA shared the leaked messages.
