Justice Clarence Thomas Calls for Supreme Court to Reconsider Rulings for Contraceptives, LGBTQ Rights

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is calling for reconsidering even more protections of the rights of Americans.

The 74-year-old Supreme Court Justice called into question the rights previously affirmed in various cases

In a concurring opinion delivered along with the decision to overturn Roe v. Wade on Friday (June 24).

In his separate opinion, he acknowledged the decision does not directly affect any rights besides abortion

But argued that the constitution’s Due Process Clause does not secure a right to an abortion or any other substantive rights, via The Hill.

Justice Samuel Alito, however, stressed in the majority opinion that the reasoning only applied to abortion.
