Jennifer Coolidge Reveals Shocking Detail About 'Legally Blonde the Musical'
Legally Blonde The Musical opened on Broadway back in 2007 and it has since become a cult favorite among musical theatre fans.
Jennifer Coolidge, who played the role of Paulette in the 2001 film of the same name, has revealed a shocking detail about the show that we never knew until now.
The Emmy-nominated actress says that the producers of a 2011 London production asked her to audition to play Paulette instead of giving her a straight offer.
“I said to my agent, what do you mean, audition? It’s not a straight offer? My agent said,
‘I think they just want to see if you can sing and dance.’ Look, if I got up onstage and farted, and that’s all I did,
it would still be the lady from the movie! I’m still angry about this, that’s why I brought it up!” Jennifer told Variety.
Beloved Broadway star Orfeh originated the role of Paulette in the stage production.
