Jamie Lee Curtis Eyes 'One Piece' Role

Jamie Lee Curtis expressed her interest in playing the role of Dr. Kureha in the second season of Netflix's live-action series "One Piece."

She shared fan art of herself as Dr. Kureha on Instagram and stated her intent to lobby for the role after the Hollywood strike against AMPTP is resolved.

Dr. Kureha is a character from Eiichiro Oda's manga and anime series "One Piece," known for mentoring Tony Tony Chopper.

Chopper, a reindeer with human abilities, gains medical skills under Dr. Kureha's guidance and joins the Straw Hat Pirates to become a great doctor.

Jamie Lee Curtis, famous for roles in "Halloween" and "Knives Out," is a fan of Eiichiro Oda's work and previously joked about the role on social media.

"One Piece" follows Monkey D. Luffy's quest to become a pirate king with his crew, searching for the legendary One Piece treasure.

The live-action series, directed by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda and supervised by Oda, has maintained its top position on Netflix's global list since its August 31 debut.
