Erika Jayne Forced To Give Back $750,000 Earrings Amid Legal Battle
Erika Jayne has been ordered by a judge to give back a pair of pricey earrings.
The 50-year-old reality star, who has been embroiled in a legal battle with her estranged husband Tom Girardi‘s 2020 bankruptcy case, was accused of being “in possession of stolen property”.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Barry Russell has ordered Erika to relinquish the expensive jewelry as he declared they were purchased with stolen funds.
The outlet says that Erika had fought to keep the pair of diamond earrings, however, the ruling says that they were purchased with money that was supposed to go to Tom‘s clients.
Judge Russell said that “settlement funds from the trust account created for a class action handled by [Tom's] firm Girardi Keese were used to pay for the diamond earrings in Erika’s possession.
Earlier this week, Erika revealed that she’s unable to pay a substantial fee in taxes due to the bankruptcy case.
