Meta has restored former US President Donald Trump's Facebook and Instagram accounts, ending a two-year suspension that was implemented after the Capitol riots.

Facebook's parent company Meta announced in a blog post that they have decided to reinstate former US President Donald Trump's Facebook

and Instagram accounts stating that people should have access to politicians' statements, whether good or bad, so that they can make informed decisions when voting.

Donald Trump was previously banned from Facebook and Instagram for over two years as a result of his posts that incited the riot at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.
