Charlamagne Tha God didn’t like the way the ‘Wendy Williams Show’ ended

Charlamagne Tha God was hoping for a better ending for his old friend Wendy Williams.

When he was just starting out, the troubled host was already an established radio star and took him on as something of a protégé.

He went on to become one of the most influential figures on the airwaves. But he said he was saddened by the unfortunate end to her TV career earlier this year.

“I didn’t like the way [the “Wendy Williams Show”] ended because I don’t want to see her go out like that,” he said in a new interview

“I want to see her go out healthy and on her own terms,” he said, likening Williams’ TV situation to “a basketball player or football player.

Charlamagne spoke to “Extra” ahead of the premiere of his rebooted late night Comedy Central show “Hell of a Week.”
