Carlos Santana experienced heat exhaustion and dehydration during a concert Tuesday evening in Michigan

Officials told NBC’s Detroit-based news affiliate WDIV-TV that the 74-year-old guitar great collapsed onstage at Pine Knob Music Theatre

According to WDIV-TV, medical personnel took to the stage around 10 p.m. local time to attend to Santana, and officials said he continued to receive medical attention.

A short time later, social media users shared footage from the concert that appeared to show Santana waving to the crowd while being wheeled off the stage in a stretcher

Santana was taken to the emergency department at nearby McLaren Clarkston facility for observation and has been feeling better, Vrionis said in a statement.
