BTS’ Suga: Military Service Start Date Revealed

BTS member Suga will begin his mandatory military service in South Korea on September 22, according to Big Hit Entertainment.

No official events will take place on his service start date, and fans are asked not to visit him during his service.

Suga reassured fans in a Weverse live chat, saying military service is nothing to cry about, and they'll reunite in 2025.

He humorously mentioned that his short haircut is making it harder for people to recognize him.

Suga is the third BTS member to enlist, following Jin and J-Hope, with all seven members expected to complete their service by 2025.

South Korean men aged 18 to 28 must serve approximately two years in the military, but there's ongoing discussion about shortening the service.

Suga released his debut solo album, "D-Day," in April, focusing on the theme of "liberation" influenced by a popular K-drama.

BTS had been granted permission to delay their service until the age of 30, and a new law allows others excelling in popular culture and art to defer as well.
