Bear Grylls Is Revealing Why He Stopped His Vegan Lifestyle
The 48-year-old adventurer and host of Running Wild with Bear Grylls, opened up about his eating habits and revealed just why he decided to go back to eating meat in an interview
While in the past, Bear had been a big proponent of veganism, he says that he’s now “super against nuts. And against grains, wheat, and vegetables.
They affected my health negatively. I was a massive advocate of the vegan lifestyle for years, and wrote a book on it, but my health tanked on it.”
He went on, saying that after he tested positive for “COVID a couple years ago, I doubled down on what I thought was healthy and got mega-sore kidneys, almost kidney stones.”
Bear also added that while he’s over vegetables at this point in his life, he hasn’t taken them out of his diet entirely.
He adds, “I have combinations of eggs fried in butter, greek yogurt with honey and berries. Before I’d think, ‘Oh, I have to have a salad.’ It’s a revolution to me.”
