Alexa PenaVega Reveals The Reasons She & Husband Carlos PenaVega Moved Out of LA

Alexa PenaVega is opening up about moving out of Los Angeles with her actor husband Carlos, and the main reasons for it.

The married couple, who will star in a new Hallmark movie airing this weekend, moved out to Hawaii just after their first child, son Ocean, was born in 2016.

“Carlos was really struggling with the industry. Every audition he went on, it would get down between him and one other guy and the other guy would always get it,” she shared.

Alexa explained that “at the time, I was pregnant [with Ocean]. We’d always talked about moving to Hawaii, but later on in life, like a retirement plan.”

She said that the move also coincided with their expanding family, and together, she and Carlos felt their kids would do better if they were raised elsewhere.

“We also knew that we didn’t want to raise our kids in Los Angeles,” she says. “I felt this tug in my heart. I felt it was God going,
