Alec Baldwin and Rust Movie Productions have reached a settlement in a civil lawsuit brought against them by the family of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

It was announced on Wednesday that a deal had been reached, although details of the decision were not announced.

Halyna's husband, Matthew Hutchins, released a statement following the news,

sharing that he will now be executive producer on the film as production will resume early next year.

He said in a statement to NBC News that the Hudgins family filed a wrongful death suit in February.

Alec, the film's star and producer, was holding a prop gun that exploded as he rehearsed a scene for a western film,
