Depp is suing Heard for $50 million claiming she defamed him in an op-ed she wrote in 2018 for The Washington Post

Depp was not named in the article, but his lawyers have argued that the article was clearly about him.

Heard has countersued Depp for $100 million for nuisance.

Now, the ACLU has said three of its members, including its executive director, were forced to testify in court documents obtained by Radar Online.

The motion was filed as part of the 2021 lawsuit Depp filed against the ACLU when he demanded that the ACLU turn over records related to donations
