Instagram Launches 3D Avatar Feature
The official announcement made by Meta on 31st January says that the 3D avatar feature has been improved and brought on Instagram. Avatars were introduced to Facebook and messenger in the year 2020. But now you can access this feature on Instagram as well as Meta has introduced this 3D avatar feature for the first time on Instagram.
In a blog post, Meta wrote, “we are beginning to roll out our updated 3D avatars to Facebook and messenger and for the first time Instagram stories and DMs. Starting today people in the United States, Canada, and Mexico can show up as their virtual self across apps via stickers, feed posts, Facebook profile pictures, and more.”
As per sources, more customizable options are available in this new avatar’s feature than before. Now you can access new face shapes, skin shades, assistive devices for people with disabilities, NFL clothes, and much more.
How to Make Your Avatar?
Follow the steps written below for creating your avatar on Instagram.
- Tap on the new Instagram story option available on the app.
- At the top-right hand corner, you will see the stickers icon with the smiley face, click on it.
- You will see a purple bubble on the screen With the name avatar. Click on that option then you can easily create your avatar.
Who Can Access This Feature?
To date, not everyone can access this feature on Instagram. Meta has revealed
However, you can create your avatar on Facebook for now. For creating a new avatar on Facebook open the application and at the bottom right-hand corner you will see three lines, click on it. Scroll down and you will see the “see more” option, stop to open it. Now simple avatars I can be available on your screen. Click on it and create your avatar.
