KSI will return to the ring on August 27, almost three years after defeating Logan Paul in a rematch.

The YouTube sensation was at the front of the social media boxing craze. It has produced dozens of shows and a slew of professional fighters. For their Los Angeles sequel, KSI – real name Olajide “JJ” Olatunji – and Paul entered the paid ranks, which KSI won on points.

They had previously battled in Manchester under white-collar regulations, with the fight ending in a draw. Logan’s younger brother Jake competed on the undercard and has since gone 5-0 as a professional boxer.

When KSI tweeted his fight date along with a promotional video and the words “I’m back”. He did not specify an opponent. But he has been in contact with Alex Wassabi, who is currently handled by Jake and his Most Valuable Promotions firm. In such a bout, KSI would seek vengeance for his brother Deji’s loss to the Americans earlier this year.

KSI announces the date of the next boxing match

Over two years later, KSI has finally confirmed the date of his next bout, and it’s approaching quickly. On May 4, 2022, KSI released a teaser trailer on Twitter, revealing an August 27, 2022 fight date.

Previous speculations suggested that KSI would fight in August. While some speculated that he would face YouTuber Alex Wassabi (an appropriate opponent, given that Wassabi defeated KSI’s younger brother, Deji, earlier this year).

This isn’t the only influencer boxing match in August; Jake Paul is also scheduled to fight an undisclosed opponent on August 13.

For the time being, things are unclear, as a plethora of influencers are poised to take to the canvas this summer — the Creator Clash boxing event, which takes place in only one week, will pit 22 internet celebrities against each other in a charity boxing contest.

When you add in an impending reality TV show about influencer boxing, it appears that the trend is just going to get bigger. All we have to do now is wait and observe how these impending clashes affect the ongoing internet mania.
