The 2022 ESPY Award for Best WWE Moment went to Cody Rhodes.

One of the four finalists for the award was Rhodes’ entrance back into the WWE at WrestleMania 38. The WWE Hall of Fame Induction of The Undertaker, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s devastating Stunners at WrestleMania 38, and Big E’s successful Money in the Bank cash-in to win the WWE Championship were the other candidates.

Rhodes was declared the winner on July 20 during the awards presentation.

The American Nightmare won the public vote over 15 other contenders to become the 2022 WWE Moment of the Year. The Undertaker’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin raising hell at WrestleMania, and Big E cashing in for the WWE Title on Raw were the other three candidates.

Titus O’Neil, a global ambassador for WWE, shone on the red carpet after being nominated for the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award last year. Rhodes wasn’t the only WWE representative in Los Angeles.

The Showcase of the Immortals’ bout between Rhodes and Seth “Freakin” Rollins produced several memorable moments and earned the event the ESPY Award.

What did Cody Rhodes reply to the announcement?

In a WWE Digital Exclusive, Rhodes discussed the news and hinted that he will win the prize again the following year by pulling off another spectacular moment.

Following his comeback, in which he defeated Seth Rollins, Rhodes instantly became a big star on WWE RAW. At WrestleMania Backlash at WWE Hell in a Cell, he defeated Rollins. Rhodes tore his pectoral tendon prior to the third game, but he persevered despite the setback. The following week, he underwent surgery, and ever since, he has been out.
