On Monday, six candidates for mayor attacked Mayor Lori Lightfoot for using a vulgar allusion to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and implying that the historic ruling last week overturning Roe v. Wade should be a prelude to the repeal of homosexual marriage.

At a weekend Pride in the Park gathering in Grant Park, a riled-up Lightfoot cries from the stage, “If you read Clarence Thomas’ concurrence.”

The mayor is yelled at by a member of the audience, to which Lightfoot responds, “Thank you. Clarence Thomas gets a “F.”

Some audience members seemed horrified by the mayor’s use of obscene language in front of the crowd. Others who echoed it appeared to be pleased.

Lesbian Lightfoot, the first LGBT black woman elected mayor of a US city, proclaimed that she will not abide by the Supreme Court’s decision. She publicly condemned the repeal of the abortion rights that Roe v. Wade established in 1973 during the event.

At the gathering, Lori Lightfoot addressed the opinions of Justice Thomas on stage. We now know what occurred at the Supreme Court yesterday, she informed the crowd. According to Clarence Thomas’ concurrence,

A member of the audience then stopped her with a question, to which the 59-year-old Democrat said, “Thank you. Clarence Thomas, f**k you!

The audience present at the ceremony cheered as she finished her speech about Thomas. The Chicago Mayor added to Lori Lightfoot’s remarks criticizing Justice Thomas and his viewpoint on earlier Supreme Court decisions saying, “He thinks that we are going to stand idly by while they take our rights, our right to marry, our right to have children, our right to live!”

In an interview with ABC’s Good Morning America, Lori Lightfoot talks on the repeal of Roe V. Wade’s abortion rights.

After delivering her speech to the Pride Parade crowd, Lightfoot appeared on Good Morning America. There, she answered questions about why women would fly to Chicago for abortions. The 1973 Roe v. Wade abortion rights decision was overturned, giving each state the authority to decide whether to end a pregnancy. Due to this, abortions were outlawed after six weeks or in 13 states with a majority of Republicans.

Therefore, women from states with restrictive or outright bans on abortion would need to travel to a state where the operation is permitted. Women from states where abortions are prohibited or restricted would therefore need to fly to a state where the operation is permitted. As a result, women who require an abortion will have to travel to places like Chicago in order to receive the operation.

Following her remark on Justice Clarence Thomas, Lori Lightfoot received a lot of backlash

Following her public jab at Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas during her speech on Saturday, the Mayor received a barrage of politically heated tweets.

Lori Lightfoot is an insurrectionist, one user claimed. Beetlejuice — three times, please.

Another person commented that Mayor Beetlejuice needs to take tougher measures against the killers of Chicagoans.

Damn, Beetlejuice hasn’t aged well, a third user commented.

Has anyone ever seen Beetlejuice and Lori Lightfoot in the same room together, another user asked?
