In early 2021, Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society signed a multi-year deal with Amazon Studios for Raising Dion. In October 2019, Raising Dion premiered on Netflix first. That means, by the beginning of February we had been waiting for the show for well over two years.

Has Raising Dion been renewed for season 3 at Netflix?

There is no announcement for a renewal upfront, so the success of the new show will mostly depend on its Netflix performance. Considering last time’s renewal, we should hear about the show’s revival this spring. We should note that Raising Dion’s social media accounts have been quiet since February 1st. Although the following is small, it is worth noting nonetheless.

Raising Dion season 2 performance on Netflix

The Netflix Top 10 site offers some insight into the show’s performance, depending on the number of hours viewers watched it for. 108.75 million viewers watched Raising Dion season 2 on Netflix globally in its first 26 days on the platform.

Between February 28th and March 6th, the series appears to be at risk of dropping out of the top 10. We’ll keep you posted. In Season 1, Netflix provided different metrics and reportedly 32 million accounts watched the show in the first 28 days. 60% of viewings occurred outside the US. Unfortunately, we can’t compare hourly data with season 1 as Netflix provided different metrics in the past.

As important for the show’s future, there was an increase in viewership for season 1 around the release of Season 2. As a result, the release of the second season brought in a new audience. Hence, no doubt some people are re-watching.

We are waiting to hear from Nielsen how well the series did in the US. There are a few things that IMDbPro can tell us about the popularity of the series on its database. IMDb boasts more than half a billion hits a month so is a pretty good measure for a show’s popularity. Raising Dion didn’t manage to reach the same heights as its predecessor, despite season 1 reaching a peak of #17 in IMDb’s Moviemeter, season 2 appears to have peaked at #68.

Raising Dion Season 3- a little insight

Dion and Nicole battle a “familiar” villain and his army of minions in the final episode of the second season. A futuristic dystopian version of Atlanta is shown in the end-credit scene. That is similar to Marvel’s teasers for ongoing television series, with Jason Ritter’s arm looking over the city, saying it is now “history,” as Mind Mover jumps into the shot. This scene takes place in the future. Hence, we likely have a lot of ground to cover before Dion and Pat face off in a battle of this sort. Moreover, we may see more of Kat’s work at Biona’s science department as they try and cure these superpowers.

We may see a time jump between seasons 2 and 3, one Redditor speculated. He said “I’m hoping with some more time gone in season 3 we can see a grown, confident and actually less annoying Dion.”

Obviously, there would have to be a time jump since young Ja’Siah Young is clearly getting older.

Cali McClean abducted

A kidnapper abducted Cali McClean, a 1-year-old toddler, from South Fulton, near Atlanta, according to local authorities. The local authorities have issued a Georgia Amber Alert following her abduction. According to the Amber Alert, the kidnapper took Cali from South Fulton on Wednesday. However, specific details about her abduction is not available as of now. However, the police has a suspect in hand and the details of the car used for the toddler’s abduction.

According to the South Fulton Police Department, the suspect is 33-year-old Erjahn McClean. According to Erjahn’s description, he is a black male, bald, with brown eyes. He stands 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds.

Moreover, apparently, Erjahn and Cali are traveling in a black 2022 Land Rover Jeep with unspecified Florida license plates. The location of where the suspect might take the child is unknown. The amber alert, issued on Thursday morning, describes Cali as a black 1-year-old girl with black hair and brown eyes. She wore a pink two-piece night set last seen.

Police in South Fulton posted on Facebook early Thursday morning that Cali McClean was missing since March 16. The information about the same is also listed on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s website.

The police urged the public to call 911 immediately if they see Erjahn, Cali, or the suspect vehicle, or to contact South Fulton Police Department at 404-808-3011 if they have any other information that can help investigators.

Fox news reporter killed by Russian forces

Amidst the Russian invasion of Ukraine, there are many journalists who have been putting their lives on the line. Many are subjected to attacks by both forces, and suffered grave injuries or even die. On March 15th, 2022 Fox News cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski and producer Oleksandra Kuvshinov died due to attacks from the Russian forces while they were reporting from Horenka, outside Kyiv.

The death of the three American scientists reflects the violence inflicted on civilians during the war. However, there’s one person who doesn’t find this to be tragic news. Susan Glasser, a CNN journalist mocked Zakrzewski’s death.

Who is Susan Glasser?

Susan Glasser is a CNN journalist. She is a global affairs analyst and staff writer at CNN and New Yorker Magazine as well. Moreover, she is the co-author of the books Kremlin Rising’ and ‘The Man Who Ran Washington. In addition to reporting on politics, Glasser served as Politico’s editor during the 2016 election cycle, founding Politico Magazine along the way. Susan Glasser contributed to several prestigious publications. In addition to Foreign Policy, Glasser wrote for The Washington Post and various other publications, covering topics such as the impeachment of Bill Clinton and the war in Afghanistan.

It goes without saying that she is a veteran of the industry with the credentials and profile of a top-notch journalist, so her attempt at trolling Fox News makes even less sense. While everyone was mourning at Zakrzewski’s death, she had a different opinion. She took to her Twitter account and shared the same. Susan Glasser chose to troll Fox News at the occasion of the journalist’s death. She accused Fox News of airing a pro-Putin propagandist as its top-rated primetime host.

Benjamin Hall, a correspondent for Fox News, reporting from Kyiv on the war in Ukraine in recent weeks, was hospitalized after being injured on Monday, the network said. He was a British journalist serving as a State Department correspondent for Fox News Channel. He is based in Washington, D.C. The 39-year-old journalist joined the network in July 2015. During his tenure, he has reported from danger zones such as Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan over the years. He began his journalism career as a war correspondent. He reported from the Middle East and Africa for a number of news organizations. Some of them include The New York Times, Sunday Times, Agence France-Presse, and BBC. Additionally, he wrote “Inside ISIS: The Brutal Rise of a Terrorist Army.”

Fox News chief executive Suzanne Scott revealed about Benjamin Hall’s hospitalization in a memo to his employees. The memo said that currently, they have minimal details. The team is working to gather more information about the same. Skott furthermore added that the safety of the journalists and the entire team happens to be their topmost priority. His memo served as a reminder to all the journalists functioning in the war-zone and putting their lives at stake.

Journalists attacked amidst the war

According to a Facebook post by Ukraine’s prosecutor general, Iryna Venediktova, the attack on Hall is yet another example of Russian violence against civilians. A Google translation of her post states that Venediktova intends to focus on war crimes committed by citizens of partner countries.

State Department Correspondents Association president Shaun Tandon also commented on the attack. Earlier this week, award-winning American journalist Brent Renaud died in the Ukrainian city of Irpin. Kyiv region police chief Andriy Nebitov said that Ukrainian forces shot Renaud, adding that “the occupiers kill even international journalists who report on Russian atrocities in Ukraine”. The Ukranian forces also wounded Juan Arredondo, another journalist in Ukraine on Sunday.

Press freedom groups have raised their voices as the violence journalists are facing while covering the war. “Stop all violence against journalists and civilians immediately,” the Committee to Protect Journalists stated after the death of Renaud.

Brooke spoke about the stalking incident in April 2021. Her experience with vicious online attacks has not changed nearly a year later. She shared a screenshot of an emailed violent message. Brooke received death threats in the message. Moreover, the sender was accused of misdeeds toward her boyfriend, Twitch streamer Symfuhny. Fans have frequently complained about Brooke’s relationship, with some accusing him of cheating. That was a claim Symfuhny openly mocked on social media.
