This is what “The Rising of the Shield Hero” is all about

The Rise of the Shield Hero: In the anime adaptation to the “Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari” light novel we follow the everyday life of the student Naofumi Iwatani, who has a quiet and happy student existence. When his little brother threatened to drift off the right track, Naofumi did everything he could to bring him back to his senses and, out of thanks and recognition from his parents, he still enjoys the privileges of a son at the age of 20: He lives at home and, thanks to pocket money, does not have to work in addition to his studies. But his idyllic Otaku life is about to come to a sudden end when he encounters a book in the library that contains a short story about four heroes and some empty pages.

The Rise of the Shield Hero season 2 premiere

An anime adaptation of the series was announced in June 2017. The anime is created by Kinema Citrus and dramatic by Takao Abo. Season 1 consisting of 25 episodes. Crunchyroll announced in 2019 that the series would be renewed for a second and third season. Then again, at the Crunchyroll Expo 2020, which took place virtually, announced that the series would start its New season 2 launch in 2021.

Junichiro Tamura said that the duration between season 2 and season 3 would not be between the first two seasons. However, there is no announcement regarding the official release date of the season. The outbreak of Covid-19 has also severely disrupted the entertainment industry. The Rise of the Shield Hero season 2 may not have an official release date yet, but the second season is expected to be released anytime in 2021.

The story of The Rise of the Shield Hero Season 2 revolves around the world’s best guard ‘Naofumi,’ who was sent to a parallel universe with his associates to fight against Waves’ monsters. Still, his world collapsed when his partner betrayed him and later accused him. But the shield hero and the crew deal with the false accusations and travel, drive up, and hit wave by wave.
