The manga first started getting published in Kodansha Weekly Shonen Magazine in March 2020. It has 6 volumes and an anime series by Tezuka Productions. Girlfriend, Girlfriend started airing on July 2021.
The story follows Naoya Mukai, who falls in love with his childhood friend Saki Saki. Nagisa, a classmate of Saki also decided to confess her feelings. Eventually, Saki becomes the boyfriend of both Naoya and Nagisa. As Saki lives alone without his parents, Naoya and Nagisa decided to live with him. The story revolves around this love triangle and their everyday school life difficulties.

Girlfriend, Girlfriend Episode 8: Spoilers
Milika is the girl from whom everyone wants to get away. The trio will try everything to walk away, but they will drastically fail. Milika’s father will drag her home. The trio will let Milika stay as she is sad. Saki will notice Milika crushing over Naoya and tries to inform her. Saki and Naoya decided to stop Naoya and Milika from falling in love.
They realize that Naoya could easily fall for Milika and will accept her. The two are worried and decided to talk the next morning. Saki heads to her house and her mother greets her for dinner. They both talk about the relationship and the mother hopes that her daughter is enjoying it. Saki’s mother thinks that Naoya is the only girlfriend. Mother will get to know about the other relationships in the next episodes. Viewers will have to wait.

In episode 7, Saki believes in the relationship and the bond they both share. Saki’s mother asks if they have ever kissed. Saki clarifies that they have not done anything till now. Saki would feel like he is betraying Nagisa if he ever gets romantic with Naoya. Saki’s mother tells him that his beauty will awake the girls. Saki finds it difficult to tell her about the love triangle.
Saki later heads home and looks at Naoya writing a love letter. Naoya looks amazing as she was wearing a sexy outfit. They both talk about what happened with their mother. The next day, Naoya meets with Milika, she expresses her feelings that she loves him very much.
