Actor Joseph Gatt is under investigation for alleged inappropriate communication with a minor, the Los Angeles Police Department announced Tuesday
LAPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force promptly began to investigate Gatt after they were tipped off about his sexual offence.
Gatt was then brought into custody. He was also found to have had an outstanding felony warrant for a similar crime.
Joseph Gatt was released the same day on $5,000 bail.
It's not clear how many minors Gatt is accused of talking to, but the LAPD's Juvenile Division is seeking any other victims following his arrest
Joseph Gatt had supporting parts in 2011’s Thor, Star Trek Into Darkness, and Dumbo
Gatt later posted a statement to his social media channels calling the allegations “horrifying and completely untrue.”
Joseph Gatt said, “I have confirmed errors and misleading information in today’s press release,” but indicated he was “cooperating fully the the police and LAPD to get to the bottom of this.”
