The comedian Dave Chappelle was tackled onstage as he performed in Los Angeles, according to witnesses and videos of the episode Tuesday night
Video footage shows a man rushing onto the stage and tackling the performer to the ground during the Netflix is a Joke comedy festival
Footage from AIR7 HD captured the apparent attacker on a gurney and being loaded into an ambulance to be taken to a hospital
Witnesses to the event took to social media and said the man rushed onto the stage and collided with Chappelle
Chapel apparently rushed into the argument and said the man was "trampled on." Chappelle repeatedly asked security to get the man out of the stage
The chappelle appeared to be unharmed by the attack and a video posted to social media showed him continuing the show
Chappelle faced criticism and protests last year when his Netflix special was accused of being transphobic
