Brighton rejected a £60 million offer from Arsenal for midfielder Moises Caicedo

Brighton has stated that Moises Caicedo will not be available for sale during the January transfer window and this will not change.

Arsenal is interested in signing 21-year-old Moises Caicedo, a central midfielder, and has recently made a formal offer for him during the final days of the transfer window.

However, Brighton has rejected this bid.

Acquiring a new midfielder has been a goal for the Premier League leaders for some time, but the need has become more pressing due to injury concerns with Mohamed Elneny.

The north London club has a significant budget to add new players to the squad during this transfer window,

as demonstrated by their unsuccessful attempt to acquire Mykhailo Mudryk.

Currently leading the Premier League, Arsenal is set to play Manchester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday night.

It's uncertain if he will be mentally prepared to play against Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Currently leading the Premier League by five points with a game in hand over Manchester City, Arsenal will face their title rivals in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday night.
