She concluded her post that the hiatus they decided to take was necessary and it was at the right time.

She also stated that she will be the "ultimate fangirl" of the personal and professional successes her fellow members achieve.

In 2020, the fourth member of the band, Jesy Nelson, left the group for mental health reasons and has continued on as a solo artist.

Last year, the group announced their hiatus on social media after their Confetti Tour. However, they confirmed they were not splitting up.
